2010-2011 Residency Pilot Program

Purpose

Tal Gallery residency program offers an opportunity to artists to take a break from their routine and come to work and create in a quite and inspiring nature environment of the mountains of Galilee.

The  program is regarded as a pilot and its experience will be the basis of establishing a permanent program in the future. The program is originally intended for young artists but the pilot is open to all.

Schedule

The period of the residencies is for 2 weeks during 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2011.
Allocation of Residency periods will be based on artist preferences and time of application.

Terms

Tal Gallery offers a residency program to artists holding an academic degree in fine arts or design. 

The gallery offers a studio and accommodation for one artist at a time, for the period of residency. Subsistence and art materials are at the artist expense.

The artist is required to offer a class or a seminar presenting his work, participate in a group exhibition at Tal Gallery in 2011 and donate one work to the gallery collection.

The program including artists' names and artworks will be published on Tal Gallery internet site.

Application

Artists applying for the residency program are requested to contact Tal Gallery by mail attaching the following information:
1. Biographical notes including  studies, work, prizes, exhibitions and other relevant information.
2. Samples 5-10 digital images of artworks including definition, techniques & size and date.
3. An essay describing the work plan while in residence.

4. Contact information and residency period preferences.

The selection of candidates will be based on credentials and personal achievements. The applicants will receive notice of application; the chosen candidates will receive an invitation for interview. 
Tal Gallery reserves the rights to accept only suitable applicants based on their credentials and availability constrains and other considerations.  

Applications for 2010-2011 program are to be submitted dring 2011.
